The Truth to Finding Belonging and Confidence as a Gay Man

Gay warrior, explorer and nurturer working together

This is the last in a series of articles on why gay men struggle with confidence and how to build confidence through your Gay Explorer, Warrior and Nurturer - check out the first article in the series here.

Finally, you can find out where you belong by doing all this.

I like to make a distinction between the gay scene and the gay community. The gay scene is often the local bar or bars to us, but this is only one part of the gay community.

And the gay community is split into many sub-tribes and groups.

When you know who you are and what you truly want, you can find the right tribe for you—a space where you feel the warm hug of belonging. Exactly where you need to be, and you can be ultimately, unequivocally yourself, and it feels exactly right.

And it becomes easy at this point when you know who you are. When you have become an Explorer, a Nurturer and a Gay Warrior. You know what it is you want, and you have the confidence to go about it.

So go and become who you were always meant to be. Step into a space where you can shed your armour, let down your guard, and leave the mask behind, feeling safe and accepted for who you truly are.

This is the last article in my series - start at the beginning here.
